Client: Enhanced Diversity | National Institute of Health
Objective: Designing a campaign to promote diversity in the biomedical research field across the nation.
Solution: The campaign centered on authentic student stories, highlighting diverse participants and their experiences within UCLA’s biomedical research program. A compelling slogan and integrated multimedia approach were developed to effectively engage multiple demographic audiences. Visually, molecular-inspired graphic patterns were incorporated to reflect the scientific field, creating an interactive and conceptually aligned design system that reinforced the program’s identity and resonated with prospective students.
Outcome: The campaign’s success was measured through email open rates and survey participation. Following the launch, open rates increased by 35%, and survey participation rose by 45%, surpassing the program’s initial benchmarks. The heightened engagement also contributed to securing over $500,000 in continued national funding to support ongoing research initiatives.
